🌿🌼🍀 ওরে মন পলাশ তুই কেনো থাকিস না গোপনে, বসন্তের এই আগমনে, নতুন ঋতুর সম্ভাষণে-- পাখির কল কাকলিতে  আর কোকিলের অবিরাম কুজনে মন পলাশ যেন অন্য ফুলের  চেয়েও দামি রঙে রঙিন ঝরে পড়া পলাশ তাই , না হলে সে তো  ধরা ছোঁয়ার বাইরে হঠাৎ হাতের মুঠোয় পেলাম তাই এত আনন্দ, শুধু ফুল তোলার আনন্দ নয় পলাশের সাজে সাজবো বলেই নতুন জীবন এবার বসন্ত বাহিরের রং নয় রং মনে, বসন্তের রঙ্গীন দক্ষিণ হাওয়ায় দুলছে যখন লাল অশোক ফুলের গুচ্ছ, তখন যেন মন উদাসী।  🌿🌿🌼🌼🌿🌿 অদিতি

 The Season of colours is here again. Inspired by Mother Nature, we love to sing and dance this time of the year. We smear colours and celebrate the arrival of Spring 🌼🌱🌼. This is also Basant Utsav, or Spring festival when nature wears a newness with fresh leaves giving the trees a fuller look. The scent of Mother Earth 🌎 makes life more earthen and the attraction towards Nature increases despite all the urban temptations. The Holi colours as they are called Gulal or Abir are now purely herbal and natural to maintain the purity of the celebration 🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉

The rain deficit this year and late monsoon caused real damage to the seasonal crops which need water especially the paddy crop. There was hardly any rain and even if we got some drizzles and showers in and around Kolkata region, that was insufficient for good crops and North and South 24 parganas. As a result there was spiralling price rise of vegetables in the market. This was the scenario during the monsoon months of July and August. There was hardly any rain and they went dry. Quite in contrary, news from outside West Bengal was very sad. Incessant rains caused floods in some states in the early monsoon period causing flash floods in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh,Himachal, and Rajasthan. Reports of landslides were also recorded. But here in Bengal, real monsoon arrived very late and suddenly there was heavy rain just before Durga Puja and there was predictions of floods too. Villages, remote areas of South Bengal including Midnapore, Bankura, Dinajpur, went under water ...

 

Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft Voyager-1 departed Earth on 5 September 1977, after it's sister spacecraft left the Earth. ​It moved beyond the bubble of gas emitted by the Sun - a domain known as the heliosphere - in 2012. ​Voyager-1 spacecraft is returning usable data about the health and status of its onboard engineering systems. (NASA) ​What was the primary objective of these twin spacecrafts, V1 and V2?  They were doing a survey of the planets -Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune- which was done in 1989.

The student protest in Dhaka turned bitter and the state government pressed police force and took reactionary measures to repress. The current social turmoil in Bangladesh since June 5 has come to a full circle with the resignation of Prime Minister Shekh Hasina on Tuesday. For more than one month, students took to the streets of Dhaka, the capital. They were up in arms to fight against the quota system in government jobs.  Earlier there was 60 per cent quota for the families of the martyrs of Bangladesh War in 1971. Hasina government outrightly scrapped the reservation procedure leading to consternation among students in universities in Dhaka. The Supreme Court reinstated the quota system but the allotment was not in favour of students. The students wanted  the quota system based on merit.   Grand parents and single grand parent in Sweden have a reason to cheer. Sweeden has come up with a groundbreaking law which entails grandparents to take paid leave up to three months during the child's first one year after birth. Moreover, parent couple can transfer 30 days' leave while single parent can transfer 90 days' leave to the grand parents. This law comes 50 years after the Scandinavian country became the first in the world to offer paid parental leave to the father's and not just the mother's.

  The banner that fell down on the petrol pump at Pant Nagar in Mumai's Ghatkopar area killed 17 persons on the spot on May 13. More than seventy people were injured when the giant hoarding collapsed from a height of a high rise. A brief history of bus service in London In England the first bus service which was launched in 1662 was more like horse carriages and was invented by French mathematician Blaise Pascal. Blaise  Pascal named his public bus service in Paris ‘carriages’ but those buses ceased to operate after 15 years and they did not appear again until horse-powered multi-person carriages emerged in Paris again in about 1819 or 1820. "Omnibus" is a Latin word meaning "for all." They were more like modern-day buses custom made for passengers’ comfort, to transport multiple people along a route and allow them to board or debark at locations along the route without the necessity of having stations. Criminal Justice Dhananjay Chatterjee was a guard in a building where a teen-aged girl named Hetal Parekh was found dead in March 1990. He was convicted of having raped and killed her and was hanged on his 39th birthday, August 14, 2004, protesting his innocence until the end. His execution followed a shrill campaign waged by the wife of the then West Bengal chief minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.
