The War that we fight everday

Things although look very smooth and gaga yet they are not so easy during normal days. Dear God, I was so caught up with daily activities and kitchen works that I couldn't find time to go through the newspaper properly. Mostly I read the front page flier headline and checked the news as quickly as possible. I have been following news but there was no time to go deep into the reports. Each and every news look so important yet my eyes were so tired that they couldn't read the small fonts. The news on attacks and counter attacks by Russia with drones and tankers came late night. All these happened after India and Russia bonded during a Summit and Me President promised to help us Indians. This scenario reminds me of my childhood days when photos and stories of Russia were in news then. President Vladimir Putin reminds me of President Gorbachev and our international relations were much better then despite all the Cold War and other political and economic affairs.

Leave the God! A strong belief that draws lakhs of devotees to the Amarnath lingam every year is shaken. Why? Controversy has already started brewing if the deformed lingam is natural or man-made. To avoid any misunderstanding, the Jammu and Kashmir government ordered a judicial probe. First, fingers were pointed at outsiders. Then it was a twist to the whole story. Now evidence (TOI reporter) says that the governor S K Sinha had ordered for dry ice from Delhi since the lingam did not take take its usual shape. Shocked? Please, don't. Dhananjay Chatterjee's Execution

Criminal Justice Dhananjay Chatterjee was a guard in a building where a teen-aged girl named Hetal Parekh was found dead in March 1990. He was convicted of having raped and killed her and was hanged on his 39th birthday, August 14, 2004, protesting his innocence until the end. His execution followed a shrill campaign waged by the wife of the then West Bengal chief minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. Chatterjee’s appeals were rejected by the then president APJ Abdul Kalam on the advice of arguably India’s worst home minister, Shivraj Patil, going by historian Ramachandra Guha’s estimation . In a similar situation, his predecessor in Rashtrapati Bhavan, KR Narayanan, had applied his mind wonderfully, as emerges from an anecdote narrated by his secretary, Gopalkrishna Gandhi.
