PAHALGAM ATTACK was a shocker for Indians

Image
BAISARAN VALLEY in KASHMIR  22nd April was a Black Day in the history of our country. The loss of twenty six lives will remain etched in the memory of Indians as well as others since the media gave a blow by blow account of the whole attack at a picnic spot in Baisaran, PAHALGAM. They were high profile people and the families gave their own version of the terrorist attack in their own dialect. Terrorist attacks are not uncommon in India, especially in the Northern half of the country. Earlier also there were several such attacks on pilgrims on their way to the Amarnath Shrine. Tourists still take risk knowing the fact that they are going closer to the international border which is a always tense zone. Like citizens and NRIs have right to liberty, they have a duty to perform like they should not go to such areas which are special areas where chances of terrorist attacks are high. High profile people always take risk and they love adventure. Kashmir is recognise their friends ...

The Terrorist Attack Pakistan’s Most Powerful Man Steps Out of the Shadows to Confront India The army chief, Gen. Syed Asim Munir, who usually works behind the scenes, has been shaping Pakistan’s tone in the crisis over Kashmir with his own tough talk. Yousufzai/Associated Press By Salman Masood Reporting from Islamabad, Pakistan New York Times May 5, 2025 Until recently, Pakistan’s most powerful man preferred to stay behind the scenes, tightly controlling his public profile and limiting his pronouncements mostly to choreographed addresses at set-piece military events. But after the deadly terrorist attack nearly two weeks ago in the Indian-controlled part of Kashmir, Pakistan’s army chief, Gen. Syed Asim Munir, has step...

Myanmar still at a shock

Image
Biggest tremor of the century struck Myanmar One of the photos of the damaged buildings in Mandalay. When there is a massive quake in the neighborhood, a huge loss of lives and buildings are reported via media. If not immediately but sooner or later, our country is surely going to feel the ripple effect. The earthquake 🫨 that happened on March 30 in Mayanmar, saved all of us Indians from another natural disaster. We all were safe except the sudden news headlines that stir the heart and soul of any human who knows how it feels to live on the earthquake prone belt of the earth. The earthquake shook Mandalay, Myanmar, Naypidaw. The neighbouring Bangkok, Thailand, Bangladesh and China too felt the tremor. The tourist hotspot of Myanmar attracts several people every year and this time there was no exception. The earthquake was 7.0 magnitude in the Richter Scale, and the next day Nepal too felt it at 4.0 seismic level.  Shocks and aftershocks were reported from several places. The news ...

My interest in drawing

My first drawing class  Picture and poster have a deep connection in my life. I remember having an inclination for pastel colours which were offered to me as gifts on my birthday. From playing with pastels to drawing lines in books, I kept myself occupied with drawing mainly a small house, triangular shape hills, meandering river and birds flying in the sky during sunrise. Once or twice I had completed the whole scenery but most of the times, one of these objects were sketched by me on a drawing exercise book. My interest was my parents' will to send me to a drawing school. I was not very serious about my hobby or rather I was very tense after reading my dad's mind. I really didn't want to go away from my mom to draw.  Immediately I got more gifts, a pencil box, more colour pencils, and a drawing bag. My voice was by now only a wish. On a Sunday, I was all  prepared and dressed to attend the drawing class which was an unknown territory for me. All I could say was y...

The Arya Samaj

DAYANAND SARASWATI                   RAJA RAMMOHAN ROY The founder of Arya Samaj Dayanand Saraswati was the man behind the mission called Arya Samaj.  One of the proponents of the Bhakti Movement in the Pre Independence Era, Saraswati was born in the year 1824 on February 12 in a small village of Tankar in Gujarat.🌷 Dayanand Saraswati was great Sanskrit (संस्कृत) scholar but as per historical records, he had no formal education.🌷 The motto of his mission was " Go back to the Vedas".🌷 Dayanand Saraswati wanted to shape society on the model of the Vedas by removing all later outgrowths. He didn't give much importance to the scriptures like Puranas (पुराना).🌷 His similarity with Raja Rammohan Roy, in terms of thinking, and their staunch belief in One God (Monotheism) must be remembered. That God is One and there is only one source of power finds special mention in all his teachings. He decried Polytheism and raised his voice agains...

Arrival of Spring and Holi 2025

Image
The Season of colours is here again. Inspired by Mother Nature, we love to sing and dance this time of the year. We smear colours and celebrate the arrival of Spring 🌼🌱🌼. This is also Basant Utsav, or Spring festival when nature wears a newness with fresh leaves giving the trees a fuller look. The scent of Mother Earth 🌎 makes life more earthen and the attraction towards Nature increases despite all the urban temptations. The Holi colours as they are called Gulal or Abir are now purely herbal and natural to maintain the purity of the celebration 🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
